Courtesy “Like” vs Blatant Insult?

What is a courtesy “Like”?

A courtesy “Like” is that when you have read a blog post, liked it,  but don’t really have the time to comment at the moment, or you find it difficult to comment but you have understood the post. It is not required that when you read something, you “must” react. It is just a pleasure for the writer to see “Likers” because that indicates people are reading his/ her work. It’s  literally  a “Liked” post. (Please don’t forget that for most of us, it would be a pleasure to see comments which we can reply to, much like a friendly or an intellectual conversation)

What is a blatant insult?

A blatant insult is when the writer is online, have posted 2 or more  lengthy materials to be read for at least 2 minutes or more, and the “like” button flashed within 30 secs of each other. That is an obvious insult because the post was liked without being read. If you don’t have time to read, don’t press the “Like” button.

“It is always gratifying to write down thoughts. It is more satisfying if the message of the post was communicated as well.”
